Whirlwind traders was born out of the rendezvous of the southwest. We are a collection of artisans and craftsmen who trade their possibles and plunder at rendezvous and muzzleloader events across the west.
My name is Chris Bridge, I make pre-1840s period knives.  My blades are high carbon 1095 steel(not much chromium or vandium in the 18th century) and are forge hardned and tempered.  My handles and scales are curley maple, cocobolo, ebony and horn.  All knives on this site have been templated and can be replaced or customized.  I also do custom work from drawings or photos.
Gary Mercado is known around the southwest for his excellent scrimshaw powder horns. Whirlwind traders will be offering a selection of his fine work.  Click on the gold bar to view Gary's horn page.
Our web site is brand new, so we will be updating it frequently with new items.  For purchasing or custom work please email me at cbridge.1@netzero.net or click on the box below.
